Role of Tri-Phasic Computed Tomography in Evaluation of Hepatocellular Carcinoma Patients with Liver Cirrhosis

OBJECTIVESTo assess the usefulness of Tri-phasic computed tomography in evaluation hepatocellular carcinoma cirrhotic patients.METHODOLOGYThis cross-sectional study was carried out Radiology and Imaging Department Hayatabad Medical Complex Peshawar from October 2020 to September 2021 (01 year). CT done all patients. Patients with suspected diagnosed by clinical ultrasonography having high serum α-fetoprotein levels were enrolled study.RESULTSMalignant cases on tri-phasic 120(82.8%) while benign 25 (17.2%) Fig -I. In malignant tumor cases, 99(82.5%) patients had (HCC), 13(10.8%) metastases 8(6.7%) dysplastic nodule respectively. tumour 15(60%) regenerative nodules, 6(24%) hepatic adenoma 4 (16%) haemangioma. Tri -phasic as a tool diagnosis showed sensitivity 96.8%, specificity 79.7%, accuracy 95%, positive predictive values 96.2% negative 88.1%.CONCLUSIONTri-Phasic can be an ideal diagnostic for detecting well characterizing
